Welcome to

Hazel Holler is an all-girl group from Eastern Kentucky, playing regional Appalachian music, almost-forgotten country songs, bluegrass and original songs.

Formed in 2003, Hazel Holler has kept audiences dancing and grinning everywhere they go!

>>>>ANNOUNCEMENTS<<<<<

Hazel Holler has been busy in the studio, in between live performances! Our new demo is out (click to hear it) and we'll be turning that into a full CD this fall. You can call Michelle during her Bluegrass Sunday show & request it, too!

The newest addition to Hazel Holler is Stacy York on guitar and lead vocals. Stacy has her own CD out on Blue Circle Records. She has performed with Joe Isaacs and also with the Cumberland Highlanders for over 9 years, and is making time to sing with the Hazel girls, which couldn't make us happier!!

Karen Yates, our previous lead singer and guitarist, got married in April 2009 and is performing with her husband in Wiley Dew....watch for some special return appearances with the girls!

Hazel Holler's CD "Wild Girl Blues" got reviewed in the April issue of Bluegrass Unlimited! They said our harmonies stood out and that the album would "enhance (our) image!"

Hazel Holler has hit the silver screen (of your computer, that is!) - we recently were photographed, videotaped AND interviewed by the Savannah, GA morning paper at Mossy Oak Music Park. They put the interview and part of our performance on their website!

THEN....when we recently played for the Americana Crossroads October show, they videotaped it and put part of the show on YouTube!

Stacy York handles lead vocals and plays rhythm guitar. She has played bluegrass all her life, performed with many well-known musicians, and lives in Berea, KY. She has two sons who are also musicians!

Shirley Seim saws the fiddle and sings harmonies and a few leads. Raised in Seattle, she first heard a bluegrass band at age 19, and in 2002 she migrated from that bluegrass mecca to Kentucky to play music! She lives with her dog in Ashland, KY at present.

Michelle Wallace plays bass and also sings. She is a recent graduate of Morehead State University and is the host of Bluegrass Sunday, which can be heard from 11 AM to 2 PM every Sunday on 90.3 FM locally, or via webstream at this link. Besides holding down our bottom end, she is becoming well-known for her great Mama Hazel's Salsa, which she usually has with her. She lives on a farm in Sandy Hook, KY.

Jackie Thacker Jackie grew up playing music, along with her brother Ben (who graced us with his presence at the Covered Bridge Festival - it was hilarious!! pictures will be coming soon) She's an elementary school teacher, and has two teenagers of her own. She lives in Fleming County and plays a banjo her father put together for her.

Our first, self-titled CD was released in May 2004 and is available now for just $12.
